MSC UK Sponsors Home-Start in Suffolk's Annual Sports Day

For the past two years, MSC UK has served as the main sponsor for Home-Start’s annual Sports Day. An event aimed at raising funds to support Home-Start’s main goal, to aid Suffolk families through difficult times. This year, we took our support a step further by entering our own team to participate in the event and as a joint effort along with other local businesses, we managed to help raise £10,000 for the charity.

Jessica Stirling-Yeatman, Financial Supervisor and MSC’s team captain, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, saying, “We’re thrilled to be part of the day, not only as sponsors but as participants.The spirit of teamwork and healthy competition is a testament to what Home-Start is all about - bringing people together to support one another in times of need. It’s a great way for us to engage with the community in which our business operates whilst contributing to a cause that we’re passionate about.”

Stacey Phillips, Home-Starts Partnerships and Fundraising manager, showed her appreciation for everyone's involvement, saying, “I would like to thank everyone who took part in our 2024 Suffolk Sports Day and a special thank you to MSC UK for being our main event sponsors for the second year. I am delighted to confirm that we have raised over £10,000 from this fundraising event that will be used to provide valuable support to Suffolk Families when they need it most.”

The sports day event had a great turnout of 18 teams, 176 participants, 50 volunteers and featured a wide array of events, from wall climbing to traditional favourites like the egg-and-spoon race. All the participants were eager to get involved, competing for points on behalf of their companies while enjoying a fun and energetic day out.
