Navigating Towards LA 2028: MSC Supports Youth Sailing Team’s Olympic Campaign

17/03/2025

MSC is delighted to sponsor the MG Sailing Team, consisting of Marie Mazuay and Clément Guignard. We look forward to supporting this young Swiss team’s bid to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Both aged 19, Marie and Clément have already achieved impressive results at the European and World Championships in their Nacra 15 sailing boat – a high-speed catamaran for youth racing. Now they are transitioning to the larger Nacra 17 class in order to compete in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

MSC is proud to be part of this exciting journey, which will include up to 200 days a year of training on Lac Léman and beyond. The team will also continue to compete in world-class regattas such as the upcoming Trofeo Princesa Sofia Mallorca, their first 2025 race in the Nacra 17 class.

About the Nacra 17 class

The Nacra 17 is a 17-foot (5.25 m) class of racing catamaran, designed in 2011 by Morelli and Melvin for the builder Nacra Sailing International. A larger version of the Nacra 15 youth sailing boat, it is raced by mixed crews in the Olympic Games.

Supporting youth sailing in Switzerland

This exciting new partnership reinforces MSC’s commitment to supporting local talent and sailing in Switzerland, home to our global headquarters. It also emphasizes our belief in empowering young individuals who will shape the future.

A family company with a genuine passion for the sea, MSC has strong connections to the world of sailing. Our own MSC Sailing Team, made up of employees from our Geneva headquarters and led by a professional skipper, regularly competes in regattas across Europe.
