On November 7th and 8th, we will participate in the 88th edition of the Coffee Summit, which will take place at the Hyatt Regency Cartagena. We will be present at stand number 4, ready to assist all our customers. With the presence of ASOEXPORT and ANALDEX, we will have the opportunity to engage with over 400 attendees, sharing ideas on the latest trends in coffee exportation and sustainability.
For the 2023/24 coffee year, experts predict that global production of coffee will grow by 4.8%, reaching 175.09 million bags, with a 6.5% increase in Brazilian output and a 20.8% rise in Colombian production. In the first half of 2024, Colombia produced 5.82 million bags, representing a 16% growth compared to the same period in 2023. In terms of exports, Colombian coffee grew by 36%; that is, 5.74 million bags were exported in the first half of 2024, which is 15% more than in the same period in 2023.
Colombia positions itself as one of the largest coffee producers in the world, thanks to its geographic conditions and lands, allowing high-quality coffee to be produced throughout the year. With the participation of major organizations such as the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation, Sucafina, OLAM, and others at this summit, MSC is excited to participate and showcase our solutions for this type of cargo at stand number 4.
Our coffee export and import specialists will be available to provide all the necessary information on coffee transportation to different destinations around the world, meeting all the needs that arise when moving this type of cargo.
